What is English?

English is the study of rhetoric, composition, literature, creative writing, language, culture, and more! The aim of English is to understand the diversity of human experiences through reading and analyzing texts, which can include everything from poetry to graphic novels. English helps you think creatively and critically and learn how to effectively and efficiently communicate in order to be an engaged member of society. English is part of both the Humanities & Communications Career and Academic Pathway, as well as the Arts Media and Design CAP.
